What it is:

  1. studio floor time that you can use to work on things you've learned from classes, workshops, or from videos
  2. swing music at a variety of tempos, a few songs in a row at each speed
  3. mirrors to fine-tune your asthetic style
  4. a comfortable group of peers who you can always ask to give you tips or tricks; we try to offer constructive criticism to each other in hopes of being better dancers

Know a little Lindy, but ready for more? We will be offering a 4-week Beginner Plus class series starting Dec 6, 7-8pm. Come build your swing repertoire and develop those partner communication skills for the social dance floor! No partner necessary. Prerequisite: HJ Beginning Lindy Hop class series or equivalent (must know the swingout).

Date/Time: Thursdays, 7-8pm -- Dec 6, 13, 20, 27

Swing every Thursday night with the Hawaii Jitterbugs! 8-11pm, $5 cover, FREE beginner lesson included 8-8:30pm.

Located in the heart of Chinatown in downtown Honolulu, The Ong King Art Center has a fast dance floor, a fun, quirky ambiance, and you can bring your own drinks (including alchohol). It's air conditioned and has a small outdoor area for hanging out. Street parking is free at night, or there are several parking garages in the area.
